I have a Pro-Comp 3" wide, 30' long, 30,000lb strap. It has worked great every time I have needed it.

Do you have a tacoma screw nearby? Since they are for work and not pleasure they are cheaper... Kinda like 3M self adhesive wraps for horses are cheaper than for humans.. and they come in cool colors....

IIRC there is a difference between a tow strap and a recovery strap. something that a recovery strap can be used to jerk somehting and will absorb some of the impact, vs a towstrap that when jereked will transfer all of the force through it and tear stuff up.

sorry to thread jack.

I also have the procomp 3/30/30K. It was a little spendy, but you gotta have it. It is also a well-trusted brand.

Something on e-bay with no manufacturer name and out of the box is not something I would stick in my truck for safety purposes.

i too rock the pro comp strap, spend the extra $$. why compromise something so necessary for such little money considering the times you will use it to get you out and..... to pull your friend's jeeps out.
