rear brake line

Is there a rule for how much lift can be done before the rear brake line on a tacoma will need to be replaced with a longer one? Thanks

Just see how much extra length you have in the line before it gets pulled taught and stay under that. It is not so much how much lift but how much droop the lift provides. For example an add-a-leaf would give lift but would not add much, if any, droop to the existing springs. Usually you can get 3" or so lift with the stock line.

If you don't want to buy a longer line you can always add another stock line, the 2 lines will screw together and you will have a line twice as long.

I probably should have stated in the beginning I will be using the ome rear leaf pack 15a and 15b w/greasable shackels, the tundra springs up front, ome struts and shocks, and bamachem spacers. I am pretty sure this should be good for 2-2.5 up front and about 1.5-2 in the back im guessing from what i have been told mileage will vary with each application. Thanks for the info

Put the springs on then lift the rear of the truck until the tires clear the ground and see if the brake hose has any slack left. If yes, then it is fine, if not, get a longer hose or try relocating the brackets where the line attaches. A braided s/s kit is a nice upgrade.
