Question for those with flexi suspensions
Getting ready to weld the front 3 link brackets to the frame. My question is for solid front axles with flexi suspensions. What is your frame height at the bottom of the frame rail at the front cab mount in front of the t-case crossmember? How stable is your vehicle? Are you happy with it?. Please tell me what size tire your runnin

What kind of rig are we talking here? Tire size? Axle type/width? Desired tire size?
What design 3 link are you using?
Sounds to me like you need to spend A LOT more time in front of the computer with the Pirate 3 link calculator before you are ready to cut/weld anything.

.. and you're deciding on a ride height, gotcha.
IMHO, the current trend to keep the COG as low as possible, at the expense of compression travel, is misguided. The whole 2" up/10" down thing is retarded. Once you run out of compression travel, that corner is going up - no way around it - and depending on what is happening on the opposite corner, the truck may start to tip, moving the vertical vector of the COG nearer to the track width. That force gets outside the track width, and you roll - no way around it. By comparison, if you still have compression travel, that wheel can clear the obstacle without rolling the truck, without moving the COG closer to the track width and without rolling.
Unfortunately, I don't have 40's, so I can't provide a number for you. Of course, this is custom fab work, and EVERY truck is different. My suggestion would be to pick a ride height, mock up the axle and the steering, and then "flex" it out and see where it's going to hit, and then go from there.
I assume you want 40's and a 3 link because you 'wheel hard. The narrow width of the axle is going to be a liability as the tires will be more likely to get into the body/frame/etc, and obviously less stability than a wider axle offers.
