Prepping chevy 63"
I've got a set of 63s off a 89 4x4 chevy and am curious as to how to rebuild them for a swap. From what Ive read, 4x4 springs should be a 4 or 5+1 pack, but mine are a 3+1, is this the same as a 2wd chevy pack? I am planning on removing the centerbolt and painting the leaves, is there anything else I should do? I am hoping for the best travel and articulation out of these, load carrying isnt much of a consideration. Thanks

NOt sure what your asking exactly. But the 3+1 is what I run but without the +1. I dont run the overload for more flex and softer ride. Bggest thing is to make sure your bump stops are setup so your springs dont go past FLAT. 63's dont like going negative much at all. If they bottem out before that point youll never have a problem.

New bushings would be smart. Its also a good idea to replace the pads between the leafs.
I run the over loads in stead of bumpstops, they keep the leaf from going too far past flat and help control axle wrap...
