Haha yes,
Its an akward thing knowing the front of your car looks crashed/messed up, and just about everyone that sees it goes "I wonder what in the world he hit..." haha. The other thing is, trying to avoid the police... when i see one drivin down the road comming in my direction i get right up on the back of someone in front of me so when the cop passes me, they dont see i have NO TURN signals or anything . Ohwell, its been alright though. My rig is in the tire shop overnight getting the Destination 285's installed, so i'll pick it up tomorrow and get some newer pictures of it...Then lastly, in another week, once the TJM bumper is on i'll get my completion picures.

And of course, i'd love to get a Sonoran steel rear bumper, but my wallet feels rediculously light right now , gotta start savin...I would like to get a winch, aux. Lights, rear bumper, and rear locking diff sometime in the furutre. Anyone have any good suggestions for less expensive, but good winches? I dont really want to pay like $1000 for just a winch.

Thanks for the comments guys,
-Micah

$655 shipped...and im sure there are better deals out there. its not too expensive, but its not cheap. im getting ready to put in a "lunchbox" locker. you can get those installed pretty cheap...around 250 installed. aux lights, honestly, walmart offers some that are just as bright as the name brand ones. you can get 2 rectangular lights for 20 bucks, wiring included, that will light up the night. good luck with everything.

I just picked up my 8000lb winch from Costco last night for $399 CND ($325 US). I don't know if the Costco in the US carries them but I have always had good luck with Costco stuff. In Canada a 8000lb Warn is $700 CND ($575 US)

Yeah i blieve they are, i know some guy who said he had twice the legal limit (44 inches) so i'd assume the highest is 22"...Im not exactly sure where thats measure from and all, i know right now though from the side of my runner (below the door) to the ground i have 21". I did measure before the lift, after the lift, and after the tires...I'll post all the stats once i get my TJM bumper up front.

Thanks again for the replys guys,
-Micah

Check out the FAQ.
This has been coverd many times what size tire will fit with different suspension setups.
285s will rub unless you do a BL and then they still might rub at full turn.
to run 285s that is why i went with a BL and 16x8 wheels

check out the tundra/trd thread and https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f31/backspacing-16x8-rims-285s-66300/

Thanks, maybe ill just stick with the 265/75's i have on there now. I do have 16x8 wheels (jaos victron excell II) I dont know the backspacing though (that topic is another can of worms ) I know its a PITA to see the same ??? all the time but sometimes too much info is just as bad as not enough info.

IF you want 285s call up Roger Brown at 4cralwer and order a BL. Spring for the HD hardware and get the steering extension.

Actualy, in my case, i've only noticed it rubbed once when i was fully turning the wheel and backing up. Last night i was offroad and had the rear left tire completely stuffed, i was up on three wheels and my rear right tire was 3ft off the ground and i was able to back out of it without any noticeable rubbing in the back...So for me it hasnt been an issue, i dont see the Body Lift as a need right now. It would be nice, but not neccessary in my case...At least with the OME kit and 285 Destination M/T's....I will say, at full turn, when i get out and look, i have about a CM to spare before the tire would rub.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, thanks for the comments.

Rubbing usually happens when turning while one of the front tires is stuffed.

Yeah thats basicly the only time i get my tires to rub, if the suspention is compressed to an extent and im steering sharply.
