Lance, I think there is an issue with length on yours. Does your have "multi-mode"?

Jim, I do have the multi-mode. I thought there was something that was preventing the 4Runner from being a candidate for dual cases...I just wasn't sure what it was. I have been looking at this as a future addition for Lisa's D-Cab Tacoma.

IIRC, it's only an issue with the Multi-Mode Auto 4Runner's. They are already longer and with dual cases there isn't room, it will go back into where the tank is.

Now we need to go to BigBear and Hammers....... Gonna do a weekend run to both soon. BigBear on satruday, camp out at Johnson's Valley that night and run a few trails on sunday.
That sounds like a blast! Let me know about it, I would definitely be interested in attending.

Steve, mine is already leaking, not sure what to do about it. It appears to be coming from the front case and might be coming from the drain plug, but I cant say for sure.

Well, I got a chance to test it out a bit today, the actual trail I wanted to hit today was closed
So I had to settle for some boulders that were blocking an entrance to a small area to mess around in. Coming up to a rock and going over it without any skinny pedal is really something.

Sure what it costs isn't justifiable for most, but this is my hobby and I do it while I still have the means to do so.

Wanna race?

It is justifiable and it is needed for wheeling a stick on hard stuff slowly. You know that, don't let anyone tell you different.

Also, it is worth the cost. You can now save clutch and dents. You know that too.

Walking outside the truck is cool. Everyone who can't wishes they could.

I have a leaking an auto crawler. Marlin says the fix is on the way.

Awsome, when Marlin can fix the leaking issue, I will be looking harder at this mod. What is a multi mode? Are we talking about the push button 4WD on automatics?

If you put some of that gray silicone stuff on the drain/fill plug washers on the crawer, those will not leak. I also have added it to the washers on the 2 bolts that thread into the front crawler oil chamber.

My 5-speed still looses gear oil to the back cases and I have given up on ever finding a solution.

It does not go down far enough to hurt anything.

You are right, it is so cool when you come to something and just idle right up it. It makes everything seem so darn easy.

Steve, I'll put some of that silicone on the plugs and hopefully that will alleviate the problems.
