noobie!!! (lift)

hi everyone, this is my first post here, and to be quite honest, im excited

i have a 95 4runner, and since i got it a year ago, ive been making all sorts of modifications, namely in the stereo department, but as of late, i have really wanted to get a lift. not anything major, just like 2 inches. but i especially want to get rid of that noticable sag in the rear... im so confused about what all i need to get, whether it be body spacers or what, so if anyone could help me out that would be great. oh yeah, im on a high schoolers budget, so it should be somewhat inexpensive.

alright, thanks for the help (in advance)!

First of all, welcome to YotaTech. You're gonna love it here. Second, I don't have a 4runner, so I can't answer your question, but there are countless very cool guys who can more than answer it. So good luck.

Welcome,
well if you want to get rid of the sag check out www.performanceproducts.com they have some 1" springs for the back to lift it and level it out. As for a cheap lift, i guess it's your opinion on what is cheap. OME makes a great lift that alot of these guys have, gives them about 2.5" or so. The tundra lift is another good one i hear. it lifts it about 1.5", i believe. The OME retails around 600$. But if suspension is something you dont want to do, you could look for a 2" body lift by Roger Brown. But i dont think it will correct the sag alone, thats more of a suspension issue Do a search and im sure youll find plenty of info. Lets see some pics too.

Actually im not to sure, i wouldnt think so. But dont hold me to it. There are also spacers you can get to lift your runner. Revtek also make a 3" lift, if my memory serves me correct I believe they are spacers as well. But that still wont solve the sag problem

The Tundra stuff, and the OME full lift, along with the Revtek, are all only for 3rd Gen (96-02) Runners. OME DOES make rear coils for 2nd Gens, the 900 and 901 coils. If you look at my sig, you'll see what I have. It looks perfect, and rides very well.

I don't know a lot of people that have used Perf. Product's springs, but they're probably ok. A LOT of people go with Downey Offroad's kit. Obviously, I prefere OME (Old Man Emu, same company as ARB). I think the OME coils are like $120 for a pair, somewhere around there.

Make sure to use the search, this is one of the most covered topics in all of Yotadom .

ball joint spacers/rear springs lift: www.trdparts4u.com www.toyotapartsales.com
and OME (old Man Emu) coils. look at the first link for a complete lift for sale instead of having to track down all the different manufactures. it is relitivly cheap compared to a super lift etc and it actually gives you more suspension travel (i beleive) which the superlifts do not. thank Phil (strap22) for the above links. and welcome

I had Downey torsion bars and rear springs on my 94 4x4 and was pleased w/ the results. If memory serves, they yielded about 2-2.5" of lift and cost about $300.00+-.
Just to give you another option.

I had downey 1.5 coils and hated them. I would say the 1.5 allpro's and a set of downey or swayaway torsion bars, 4 shocks and your done, total of about $300 plus the shocks for your setup I like the rancho rs5000.

I would recommend getting coils for the rear, NOT coil spacers, if you can afford it. Better choice.
