New lift and tires installed!!

Here it is OME lift, and after much deliberation, 285/75-16 Goodyear MT/Rs.

This is after the lift, before the tires.

This is today after the new tires were installed.

So what do you guys think?

First, looks great. Second, do you rub at all? It looks like you have about 3" of lift, is this right?

As far as the bumpers go, I'm going to buy either a TJM T-17 or one I found from Armorology in Colo. Springs. Then I'll build a rear, kind of a combination of several.

Yeah, the lift was about 3" it rubs just a tiny bit. I plan on doing a 1" body lift then if I need to I'll do a little trimming

Yeah, time to get rid of the pimp daddy gold package and all the chrome Awesome looking truck though, if I had a 3rd gen, I'd want it to look like that!

I guess I'm confused about 285's. I know someone with a 3rd gen and 3 1/2 inches of lift and rubbed with 285's MT. I know MT are a little meatier but needed a body lift to clear. 4x4 Fink told me he should get enough lift from Cornfed spacers (3 inches) to clear 285's w/ no issues on a '99. I'd like to get 285's but don't want to have to trim anything. Who's right?

When I had my 265/75/16 Revo's and a 2.5" lift I had very slight rubbing on the pinchwelds whenever I backed out of the driveway real quick. Now with an additional 2" bodylift and the 295/75/16s, I am rubbing the darn pinchweld again. I did some pounding and slight trimming, now it only rubs when I do some major turns into driveways... Still need to trim a bit more.

Kev, have you pounded the pinch welds yet? If not, have you taken a hard turn into a driveway or backed out real quick with the steering wheel turned? If so, did it rub?

Yeah it hits the pinch weld and i haven't trimmed or pounded it yet. I thought i'd wait untill i get the body lift then see where I'm at. It's like you said, really only when you take a steep approach or a driveway kinda quick.

Yeah the gold sucks. I can't find the right paint to do the faux black pearl on the emblems. Any suggestions? I can live with the chrome till the bumpers get changed.

SC4runner, that's kinda scary. Yours is (or was?)almost identical! I guess we know who has good taste! lol

BTW, Ebelen1, I do have a 1" Cornfed spacer up front along with my OME 881 coils. That probably makes a difference.

That still gets you to 3 1/2" max, right?

Yeah, 3.5" aprox.

I saw the write-up for the black pearl, I just can't find anyone around that has the correct Testors paint.

Looks good, Kevin. Glad everything worked out for you. Its kinda funny that you ended up with a full NM-approved and tested suspension...
