WARN's are the strongest you can get. My aisins went bad. Not that Aisns are bad, but Warns rock and they are alot easier to get. Seriosuly.....get a set, save the headache.

hmmm. thanks for the feedback, your the first person ive seen who's endorsed warns, everyone else ive asked about this has said that the aisins are stronger and actually said that superwinch hubs are the next best thing to the OEM's, not that i dont believe you or dont trust your judgement/experience with them, its just interesting.....but i will look into it, thanks deathrunner

I've never hear d aproblema bour warns. My buddy had em on a Dodge Ramcharger for liek 15 years with no problems. I've had em for 3 with no problems.

My aisins broke, and I know 2 people who's aisins went out. I don't think any of the choices are bad, but I can attest to the warns.

I CALL BS!!!!

The warns are the biggest PILE of crap for the toyota aplication. The inner ring is junk. I never broke my asian hubs, but blew birfs. And guys are breaking inner shafts now running longs and not blowing asian hubs. Now I have seen warns go pop easily in the toyota version (I run warn premiums on the d44 and love em).

I can't vouch for warns yet, but I've got them on mine, and have had them for a week. So far they've been great, and weren't that hard to convert over to (I had auto hubs). Hope you get it figured out.

Crash, I don't know what you're doing to kill em'. I've been using my Warns for 3 years (NO BS) and they still engage and disengage smoothly. On my 3rd wheeling trip with my Aisins they wouldn't unlock.

I worked with 2 guys that had 88 and 86 pickups ( I believe those were the years, at least close). The 88 was real tough to turn and got to the point that he couldn't even secure it in the lock position. The 86 wouldn't even lock. Maybe our failures are from missuse. Granted Mine failed a month after purchasing my Runner.

Are you talking about the Warns blowing up Underload??? You talk about blowing birfields. I've never had bad experiences off road. Oh well, It's not BS, just my experience.

crash is echoing what 98% of people i have talk to about this (w/o the calling BS part) have said, agian im not saying i dont believe you and your input/opinion is greatly appreciated. the reason why im researching this is because im am installing dual cases within the next month and i know im gonna blowin CV's left and right and i need a hub that i can count on if i ever have to unlock them on the trail

i think im gonna go ahead and get a set of aisins, now my next question would be is there anywhere i can buy them new besides the dealership? thanks for the input guys

are these for your taco? as far as i know the taco hubs have a lower profile than 86-95 hubs, so you have to get taco hubs

thanks man, but im gonna go ahead and get new ones, TBH only one is bad and the only prob with it is that it locks in real nice but wont unlock, so i figure ill get a new one for both sides, trash the one that doesnt work, and keep the good one for a spare

but keep the replies commin guys, ive never asked (or seen anyone else ask) the question on a nat'l forum before and i would like to know what everyone thinks

the asian hubs are very simple, just because it wont unlock doesn't mean its junk, the spring that pulls the hub clutch back probably broke or popped off, i would see whats going on inside yours before you buy new ones

we have had them apart at least 10 times and everything seems to be in order, i myself dont have a lot of experience with them, but a friend of mine does and he's stumped

Talking Marlin sells them

Marlin sells new Toyota factory locking manual hubs. Theyre pricey but the only aisin I have seen. I would stay with aisins I just broke a birfield and my hubs are still good. I have duel cases and 529s locked Fr and RR with 36/1250/15 TSLSX.

he only sells them for pre-taco trucks....like everyone else who sells toyota parts... i think im gonna have to go to the stealership, and if marlin is chargin $291 per side, i cant even imagine what the stealer is sellin em for, i might end up goin with superwinch before its all over with just because i cant afford $300 for a ˟˟˟˟˟˟in hub, let alone almost $600 for both
