Need help w/wheels
I have a '99 Taco and just installed 265/75 16 tires on 16x8 after market steel wheels. They not only shake me off the road between 55 and 75 but if I run over a small pot hole at 15 mph the steering wheel shakes for 2-3 seconds. The place where I had all this installed tells me all this is normal. I have called around abit and think maybe the offset is completely wrong on the wheels. Any other ideas out there? Thanks.

I hate to say this, but you could have to go back to stock. My rig did the same thing. I had Unique 16x7 black steelies. I keep hearing that Tech 1's are much better. No one seems to have problems with those.
Anyway, here is the thread I started about my shimee.

What is the offset you guys are using on the Tech 1 16x8s? Is this with a 265/75/R16?
I also remember reading about balancing a hub-centric vs stud centric. Most wheels balance with the center part of the wheel being the true center of the wheel. Some are based off of the center of the studs, which can be different than the hub. Check out Gadget's site for more info.
