has anyone else fitted a different filter to an MV-50? apparently the threading in the intake hole is metric...where can i get metric NPT connections to use a filter like the one pictured above?

 

 

i dont know where you would get something for yourself... i just have a guy at work order them when they are needed, but as a heads up, i think *metric* and *npt* arent the same, i think NPT refers solely to an american type of connection, while a metric would be a G1/4 or something else with a G... somehting like that anyway

 

hmm...well whatever it is called, do you know where i could find a metric barb thing?

 

I'm curious about this too. I'd like to relocate the fliter anyway, possibly up into my air vent duct in front of the windshield. After a long day of wheeling, the filter just sucks hot air in form the engine bay. 25% of the time teh thermal switch kicks it off when I just need a couple more PSI.

It would be greta to find out what thread that filter is.

Why not just carry the compressor into a hardware store and start testing them?
I need to do this also because my filter snapped off.

 

has anyone tried it yet? i had actually forgotten about this until tonight...
