Smile Look What I Just Got! (Pics)

For my 79 Toyota truck.
I just brought home my new diffs! 4.88 Yukons, LockRight for the front and ARB for the rear. Too bad it's raining so I can't go install them for a few days. I need a garage.
This weekend I hope to get them installed. Next week is the lift and shocks. Then the 4.7's and W56 swap.
I have some 34x10.50 LTB's on the way to. Thats all for now, I'll make a profile thread eventually and post some more pics of the build if anyone wants.

Can't wait till it's driveable!
I'm way to excited about this build.

Very nice. Are your LTB's going to be in the 15" variety? If so, I would love to hear the dimensions yours measure out to when mounted. I'm thinking of getting some myself.

I bought the lockers, gears, and install kits locally. They cost a bit more than online but I live in a small town where if you shop locally it usually works out better for you in the end. Now I get all kinda good deals and free stuff from the shop where i bought them.
Then I installed the lockers and gears at my friend's shop.
If you don't have access to a press and dial indicator for backlash i would highly recommend having the setup done by a shop or buying a complete 3rd member ready to go. Theres no way I could have set up the gears and installed the lockers at home, I just don't have the tools.

I'm here in Redding and it just started rain. I just got some new stuff for my yota and go figure it will rain the next few weeks.

If my flatmate would only clean out her garage

word. i'd much rather have the selectable up front. unless it's always going to be on the dirt i don't know how well you'll like driving with the front constantly locked...just a thought.

Thanks for the input, I've spent a lot of time deciding what I wanted, and for me this setup will be good. It's definitely not a daily driver, pretty much for hunting\camping\ whatever. In 2WD with the hubs unlocked there's no problem. In 4WD with hubs locked then yeah, turning is gonna suck.

lucky man i will most likely always have a spool in the rear, and then a selectable up front, welded front and rear sucks trying to turn but its awesome in the snow.

I hate you.

Guess if the lockers don't behave the way you expected, it wouldn't be much work to swap ends.
