Rob said it best.<I don't tend to run trails with the lockers on all the time, but I also don't wait until I am stuck to flip the switches.>
I think this poll is misleading you.

this buds for you! I agree, my brain is already overloaded when there are other toys, lots O dirt, mud, & big climbs. I love being locked in all the time.

Full lock turns in 4WD Low with the rear diff locked on solid granite just isn't a good idea if you want your drivetrain to survive. For this reason, I only lock up when I need it. I am a conservationalist by trade, so I practice low/no impact wheeling.

I'll just reiterate what some have already said. I just evaluate the obstacle, and will often lock up 10-15 ft before it to give plenty of time for the e-locker to engage. What really helps is when you wheel with other 4runners and Tacomas, and see what kind of difficulty the person in front of you has when taking particular lines.

I dont have a choice with my rear spool...100% locked 100% of the time. Like Crawler mentioned, I too have the option of 2LO...comes in handy quite often, especially on those tight trails where a tighter turning radius is required along with traction.
