This Truck Has been Corn Fed!
I installed my lift today. 11 hours by my self. 1 1/2 getting the skid plates off, which had striiped bolts. 1 hour picking up the girlfrind from work. 1/2 huor getting lunch and a 17 mm socket. 1 hour getting the skid plates back on.

I have gotta say that this was one of the easiest lift installs ever, being that it was my thrid.
If not for the skid plates I this it would have been 6 hours tops. The compression, though a PITA, went smoothly.

cornfed rear spacer
All the rear spacers I've seen have a flanged edge over which the spring sits, so it can't slide off. In your case the bumpstop material is between the spring and the spacer. So how does the spring+bumper stay in place i.e. what stops it from sliding sideways over the spacer? Do you have a close-up picture of the bare spacer?

The spacer is held in place by the top of the coil housing, and at the bottom by the bumpstop. The bumpstop is held in place by the spacer on top / in it, and the coil. It won't slide off - period.

Furthermore, when you look at it, you will see that it too has a "flanged edge" like any other spacer.

Looks like the spring is basically sitting on the flange of the spacer, but with the bumpstop material as the bushing inbetween. Should be fine then.

Yes the spacer has a 1/2" flange, but the top of the bump stop has a 1/2" hollow well, which allows the spacer the fall right into place with limited movement as shown in this picture...

I took a few pics with my cell phone. I will take more with digital camera this weekend.
I gotta say, that I am yet to see a difference in the ride quality. It drives just as smooth. I can't wait to get new tires.

Yeah, with that amount of lift, you shouldn't experience much change in the ride quality. I actually thought it improved the ride quality when I first installed my Revtek kit a long time ago.

You know something I was going to say that i thought it seemed better but that that would be crazy.
What has bent he overall reaction fromshops when everyone has gone in for thier alignment.
Toyota initially said that they wouldn't be able to do it, because I change the hieght fromt he factory spec, and it wouldn't show the correct readings.
Then they went ahead with the balancing only doing to camber and toe, not the caster. it loks fine to me.

The first dealership made a big deal out of it when I first installed the Revtek kit. Then they said they couldn't get it, and went ahead and charged me $400+ for it - giving it back even worse out of alignment than before.
The second dealership (Plano) was great, and was able to get it almost to spec. ... I think it has a lot to do with where you take it.

Actually my current tires aren't the low. Overall they measure 30.5", and am already shoping for 32" tires. On the other hand even with my current tires, I believe my truck to be one of the best looking 4Runners in all of Central Florida. But then again, only a real truck enthusiast would a appreciate a lifted truck regardless of tire size.
