You know Sleeoffroad.com has 4Runner OME kits in stock. They did all the figuring out with part #'s and had the smarts to bring this stuff into the country in the first place. They also know customer service and support.
How does your OME handle weight? I am looking to buy a lift soon as my bounus come in. I tow a travel trailer often, and i dont like the rear sagging alot.

That's what OME's are designed for-added weight.

I don't have experience with trailers or towing (just occaisonal 8' utility trailer) so I don't really know about this aspect.

I would think the upgraded rear springs would be of great benefit in towing but I don't know personally since I haven't towed anything w/ OME yet.

I thought slee's were $800 something bucks.

You really don't think I should lift with 20"s even though I'm going to 32" tires?

From what I understand, and tell me if I'm wrong, the OME medium kit would provide a better ride than the average spacer lift, such as Daystar.

That's why I strarted this thread, because I really had no idea which way to go? What do you all think.

Does the Daystar Lift fit 32" tires? If not, What is the largest tires that can be used with Daystar?

erm ... when I had my 3" Revtek kit, I still had to do a decent amount of cutting the inner fenders in order to fit the 32.4" MTRs ...

Considering that OME and Revtek give the most lift, I'm going to have to trim either way?

If my current tires (sig) are 30.5"ish what is the largest tires size (inches) i can run with any of these lifts?

Ohh, how accurate is this site

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

thanks Rocky.

you CAN run 32"s ... i'm just saying that in order to do so without rubbing, you'll need to do some trimming.

i'm sure that site is accurate, but every manufacturer has different actual measurements ... for example the 275/70s MTRs i have are 32.4" ... but when i was shopping for tires, there were some 265/70s that were over 33" ... !!! so it all just depends ...

cornfed, $219 !! http://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoomprod.php?id=4run_03_up_liftkit

i think that would fit you well with what you've said you use your truck for, and for what you are hoping for from a lift.

How much is the Revtex kit at wheelers without the shocks?

How important are new rear shocks?

with only 2" in the rear with the Cornfed lift, you will not need longer shocks. Daystar's kit is 2.5" in front and 2" in rear, and they don't sell longer shocks either, precisely because they're not necessary with only 2" of lift. if it makes you feel better, i ran 3.5" in the rear without longer shocks. if you were getting 3" in the rear, i would say that the longer shocks might be a decent idea, just to be extra safe ... but for only 2" i'd say it's overkill.

the Revtek kit at wheeler's is $488. if you want the kit without longer rear shocks, it's only $60 less.

On th Cornfed Website, under PRODUCTS, 2003+ 4RUNNER, there is a 4th Gen. 4Runner with my same rims (enkei 20"s), and (assuming) the cornfed lift.

I wonder who's truck that is and if they have more pics? Does anyone here know?

I recieved my Cornfed spacers today. I am planning the install next Thurday. I will take many pictues for you all/

I just had one question about one of these spacers. The spacer for the rear (in the picture), how is the bumper stop supposed to go through a solid spacer?

If I am not mistaken Revteks are hollow to allow the bumper stop the slide in between.

Please, tell me if I am wrong. Here is a picture.

That's actually probably better ... ?? I think. That way, at least the bumpstop will still be effective ...

bumpstop

I guess the only way to test the missing bumpstop is to jump the fully laden vehicle and see if the coil bind holds with the impact, preventing the differential assembly from hitting the frame/body. Or even without jumping, just heavily load up the cargo till it fully sags (hint: 10-15 sacks of pebble stones from Home Depot should be enough). Or perhaps the shocks assembly + mountings will be under tremendous strain if it is the limiting factor.

So I don't use the bumper stop in the install?

Ohhh... ลลลล, I was confused for a second ... yeah, the bumpstop won't be able to be used with those spacers ... that's weird ... the one thing I do know is that with a lift in the rear, the bumpstops lose a lot of their functionability anyway.

Just my opinon: I wouldn't venture off-road with a missing bump stop especially with stock coils, since very often my vehicle has bottomed out with a big thud. And, I wouldn't depend on the 2" lift for a safety margin.

Yosmany ... PM me. Perhaps also Lance or James or Andries will be able to give you some advice. I would NOT avoid off-roading just because of that.
