I want to see rOcky's SAWs

Isn't it about time for rOcky to show us her Sway-A-Ways? I've shown all my Donahoe and Total Chaos front suspension. Now it's time for her. I'm sure that I'm not the only one.

I live in fear of cross-posting. So, how about if I just offer the link to the T4R site?

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...&threadid=9227

After spending some miles with the Hoe's, I wonder why guys mess with spacer lifts in front. The handling is so much better than stock, while offering me the extra ground clearance I need when off-road.

Mike's Off Road did. I just picked-up all the spare parts today. The Xreas lines are about as long as the 4Runner. Then there is the collection of Revtek and NE parts too. I'll save the Revtek lifted front struts in case I should ever want to rebuild the Donahoes.

BTW: I asked Total Chaos about lubing their uni-ball joint. Here is what they said: "The uniball we use is a self lubricating Teflon lined uniball. Its the highest grade unit on the market and should last 5-7 years under moderate abuse. If you are a racer we suggest replacing them once a season, but my daily driver has had them for 6 years and has about 15,000 off road miles and Mexico preruns and they are still tight! It should self lubricate and not require any maintenance. However if you feel the need to apply something to it, we only suggest silicone spray. Stay away from any sticky stuff that will attract debris."

So, when do we get to see your new SAWs??????

Is that mark on the bottom 2 coils the swaybar rubbing or just a mark of dirt?

I saw the same hing and went for a look. There is no rubbing. I'll have a closer when I change my oil tomorrow. However, the Donahoes fit perfect. If there is a scratch it is from the installation.

Me too. However, I'm spending more time motorcycling right now. When it gets hot, I'll be in the woods with the 4Runner. I have some new photos I took while changing oil. Should post them soon. I had a close look at the relationship of the anti sway bar anf the Hoes. The sway bar was dropped with a plastic spacer, so the gap between the bar and the coil spring is about an inch minimum. To get you a flex shot I will take a couple at work. I have a gravel road with a ditch on either side. Should do fine.

The spacer looked to be a third to half of an inch.

It is hard to see the gap with these photos, but there is one.

Thanx. Nice to see how they moved the swaybar forward and down a bit to give just enough clearance for the coil-over. Pretty cool.

Well, I've pretty much kept my mouth shut about that site, but back when the NE bomb went off it seemed that the moderator/"owner" was having a rip-roaring time riding Rocky's a$$ due to her NE involvement. I really found it to be unbelievably extreme how hard the guy was hitting it. I've had a bad taste in my mouth about T4R since then. Yotatech all the way for me! These moderators are great and know how to manage a forum.
