I think I've Figured it out!

I got to thinking yesterday, my motor only needs about .5" more clearence under the hood and I want some drivetrain lift to get some more belly clearence.

If I do a 2.5" body lift with a 2" drivtrain lift and a 2.5" gas tank lift and a BudBuilt crossmember, I would gain about 5" of clearence under the T-case!

Has anyone done this or can think of anything wrong with this plan?

Also, I think I will adventually want to go dual cases but if I buy a single case crossmember from BudBuilt, I would have to get a new one. Can you use a dual case crossmember with a single T-case? I don't want to have to buy another expensive crossmember and then not be able to sell my old one.
Thanks

With the 4cyl version, yes. Dunno about the V6 one, call Bud and find out. If you have to buy one and then later on the other let him know, he helped me find a buyer for my old one when I decided I wanted the newer version that did away with the u-bolt mounting setup.

Mine is currently running with only a 1" bodylift.

BudBuilt is where it's at for crossmembers.

Gears and lockers are great too, perhaps preferable to a flat belly.

A rear ARB is on my list too but is below the BL because I need the underhood clearence for my motor.

Also, it sounds like you have a BudBuilt crossmember? If so how much clearence did you gain?
