Chech the sig for what i have, i think overall i have about a 2" lift with the 265/75's. Also, the classic 2's have 3 5/8" backspacing. How much of a body lift would i need to fit 285/75's. I have already done the pinchweld mod.

 

the question isnt how much more lift, but how willing are you to cut and grind.

you might not need more lift. but if you want to clear for sure, get a 2" body lift.

 

I ran 285s with a 2" body lift and some pinch weld trimming with minor rubbing, but I certainly wouldn't wheel it like that...I now have OMEs all around for arround 4.5-5" of lift and no rubbing except on turning while stuffed.

I run 285's with a combo saw/ome lift--the only time I rub is going over a big bump--but I got a 1" RB lift I need to install along with some trim packers. I figure the lift will prevent any interference off-road. I took it on a run 60 kilometers down a running river and didn't experience any problems. All OME should be a fine set up.

 

Most folks run 1"-2" of body lift along with a mild suspension lift for 285s. With your more ofset wheels, you may find you need closer to the 2" lift vs. 1", wider up front makes fitting w/o rubbing harder. 1" works fine for stock wheels w/ 285s, 2" for wider wheels.

 

like others said, you're gonna need a full 2" of lift and you're gonna have to do some pounding! Have fun, it'll be worth all the pounding and grinding...
