I got a piece of 1" diameter round bar about 12" long. Welded up the end to build it up. Mic'd the opening of the spindle and machined the weld build up end down to that diameter. Test fit it and then punched the brass bushings right out in about 15 seconds. I keep the SST I made in my toolbox. Well worth the 15 minutes it tool to make.

1 1/4" OD round bar - CS

Weld build up one end, machine down to 1 3/8" OD

Final product

I labeled it clearly so it doesn't end up hacked up or used for a "project" by mistake.
