Hey guys, what lfit for 35s?

Whats up guys. This is my first post. I have a WHITE 93 Tacoma. Right now i have full skid plates, rocksliders, tube bumbers(front and back) exhaust/headers, I have ARB locker in the rear and tahst about it. What i want to know is how do i run 35s? We go to paragon 2-3 times a month, and do a lot of rockcrawlin and traisl. So what do you suggest? I was thinking a 4inch suspension and 3 inch body. I know that woudl fit them, but is 3nich body lift ok? I heard its unsafe, but so many people run it. SO what do you suggest? I am going to be running 529gears is i get 35s. Is that ok?

A 93 Tacoma? That is a new one on me.

4" suspension and 1" bodylift should do it.

3" bodylift with some aggressive trimming.

7" of lift is way too much for 35's, unless you are trying to be a big, bad yoter.

It would be better to hang a solid axle. Those little CV's won't handle 35's very well, let alone 38's.

If you look around on this site a little bit by using the search function you will find a lot of discussion on these very topics.

Good Luck!~

That is what I thought.

7" of lift should fit some 37's at least, but you steering, alignment and CV"s are going to hate you.

Why not just do a 2"-3" lift in the back, throw the 1.5" BJ spacers on the front a 1/2"-1" T-bar , mount some 33's and call it good?

I found a solid axle for $200. I think i'll pick it up and put it in next weekend. IM a qualified welder so it shouldnt be a problem. So now what do i need to do to the steering?

1st I would go 7" suspention body lifts arent that great for the ammount of work you put in to them for what you get out of them. Ive got a 7" on my runner and it flexes like mad and no body. As for your steering use your ifs stuff and go get the high steer arms from allpro or marlin crawler.

If you are a welder, then just do it.

If you need to ask questions like that, don't do it.

I was going to write a smart ass ("you need 12"+) reply but in all honesty all you need is a 4" ProComp or Trail Master front and a set of Cheapie Chevy rear leafs.

You'll net 4" of lift and you'll be able to run 35's. I would 1" BL it as well.

The ball joint spacers will also make the thing actually work. The lift only jacks it up.

Here's a 92 Mini with this same set up on 285/75/16 on Aftershock at the Hammers.

What ever you do, don't install aftermarket t-bars. You'll really screw it up then.

93 Taco,

like Shaefer said. 4" lift with a 1" BL or bj spacers will fit 35's nicely. If you need a 4" kit cheap, check the link in my signature.

My thoughts exactly. Rip into it and then figure out what the hell you are going to do. Preperation is the kiss of death- do you think that Preperation H is just a fancy name- I think not.

Security! Who let this guy in here?

I think I mentioned the 4 plus 1 as well. Maybe even before.

Have you made any progress on this yet?

Just yank out all the IFS stuff and weld it right to the drop brackets in place of the old lower control arms and lower crossmember. Shouldn't take an hour or two....
