help with 3rd gen a-arms

need to know if they are boxed or solid. try to run 305s on stock 5s spokes

Sounds to me like you are going to cut your control arms for tire/wheel clearence.
Not a good idea!
But, I do believe that they are hollow. Just two pieces of metal welded together.

yes i was planning on cutting them. i lke the 5 spokes and a 12.5 wide tire,i thought ive heard of someone doing this

Another options to clear 305's might be to go the wheel spacer route...not to sure if its the best way, but you could keep your stock wheels and maybe not have to hack components apart.

they are boxed and are actually quite thin, you can grind em down maybe 1/8th of an inch but thats as far as you can go. I grinded mine some, I can even sell you my old ones and you can send em off and have em cut. I have camburgs now and I can run 305s on 16x7s and clear the arms. im running 285s though.

best thing to do is cut em, then reweld a flat piece like steve does, Contact Ric too as he has them made for ppl for like 100 flat or something like that.
