I think I am gonna cut my spare doors down for half doors, they help keep crap from sliding out better than my tube doors...
glad you decided to go with a metal cap instead of wood...came out pretty decent...

half door, half top = good times

i love these new doors. plus i scored a used top for cheap and made a top to cover the bench seat i installed. everyone enjoys the new digs. i may never run full doors again. well until winter i guess!!!!!

here are some shots of the camping last weekend.

find a cheap set of doors and cut the crap out of them. that way things wont roll out the side of the truck off the floor. plus you can have a cup/beer holder and "dukes of hazard" the crap out of them. i found my doors with no glass for 25 bucks and paid 30 bucks for a hard top without glass!!!!!!

now it's time to paint everything one color.

make sure you use tape to get the look you want first then cut once. i used a cutting wheel and my grinder. tin snips work amazingly well too. don't by shy, get creative.

in my opinion the best way to do half doors that ar ealmost dent-proof is the cut them however you want, plate the top with thin steel. then get a gallon or two of the two part expanding foam, drill a hole and use a funnel to fill them up. They come out solid.

i cut lower than most people, but im a bigger guy and i really didn't want to open mine to get in. the latch is easy, there are many ways to finish the latch. i'll take some pics if you want.

if your avatar represents your wheeler then i think it will be a small hurddle for you!!!! i used the lock/unlock latch and rod and cut/bend/fab to work with the latch. no big deal. just get them cut and worry about the latch later.!!!!!! thats what i did!!!! anything is possible.
