Final drive ratio round- up

Hi all, i thought it would be fun to hear what everybody has for final lowrange drive ratios in there trucks, what they typically use there truck for and what you like/dislike about it!

I'll start off, 1987 4runner with a chevy 4.3, 700r4, marlin crawler dual cases 2.28x4.7, and a 4.30 differential ratio for a final low of 141:1!

can anybody beat that?!

you need to figure in 1st gear too for your final drive

with duals in my 81 5.29's x 3.9 first x 2.28 x 4.7 was 221:1

I sold my 4.7 rear case because I never really needed that option. I am out of the beat on my truck rock crawling phase of my life so my 94 has an A340 Auto (2.8 1st) with dual 2.28's and 5.29's = 77:1 you have me beat on round 2

Theres always more to it then just a final number. Your auto trans will make your number feel like double that than if it was behind a manual. And 200:1 behind a 22re will feel different than 200:1 behind a v6/v8. But lower gears are always the answer! haha

Currently at 168:1 with my 3.0/r150/2.28/4.7 and 4:10s. I spend most of the time in the single 4.7 case and drop to double low (10.7) when I need to slow down.

Upgrading my 22re to 4.7 single case was game changing. The thing I really miss is sometimes I've found that between obstacles, 4.7 is too low and tcase high is too high, so for those times I really wish I had another tcase so I could have more choices.

3.954 W56-B 1st gear, 4.7 tcase, 4.88s = 91:1
