Good stuff in your thread, Bruce. I never thought of using zip ties to get that corner to fit

This is actually my truck, it had the Hanneman Ivan kit up front. I really liked these fenders. Since I didnt have the hood on, you can see how this hood and fender kit raises your hood by an inch or so.

Has anyone seen the tundra or tacoma one pice clips, they are more race oriented, but a cool option.

On a side note has anyone ever seen any full fiberglass doors?

Most of these options/company's don't include anything for a 96+ 4Runner. Any other options out there other than Glassworks? I just installed a TC kit up front myself and the 500 is just around the corner, need some glass on there soon!

Thanks.

if you want higher rise or wider flare, Tim at Glassworks will fix em up. but it will cost about 150 more to 190 more or so to do that. I was quoted 550 or so for a set of front fenders with 5.5" rise and 4.5" flare.

im gonna end up doing that later on after I get some more important things done on the truck.

Wait,
So if i get a Downey 3" flare fiberglass fender for a 89-95 2wd PU, are you saying I will have to customize it some way to make it fit right?

They make them so they will fit to these trucks. Why would I have to Mod anything?

Obviosuly ya never worked with fiberglass fenders before

OEM steel fenders
--can be bent by hand (glass doenst bend - and if it does it springs back)
-- are "floated" on tabs which are attached to the fender..

The headlight is the easiest to "float" - drill the spot welds off the stock fender and then um MODIFY the fiberglass fender to accept the stock headlight bucket. The rivits can be hidden behind hte headlight bucket so its not visible.

I cut off the lower rear tab and modded the fender (cut the glass tab off) and used an exposed stainless buttonhead screw) for that "industiral" look.

I SHOULD have modded the top rear tab for the OEM tab. But I didnt

Next time I WILL

I highly suggest looking into Corey's work @ www.toyotafiberglass.com

I have his fenders on my '85 Runner and LOVE them!! He also builds 86-95 pieces too!

The hood isn't on anymore. Corey has the best customer service too!

I just wish Corey made a "stock" type hood.

I just dont care for the "look" of that custom hood.

I am planning on hsi 4Runner rear panels and modding them with the hanneman pickup rear add on flares (I think DeathRunner did something similar - but not iwth the glass rear skins)...

Is it safe to make this the official 89-95 Fiberglass thread?

whats the name or size of the fenders off of the grey fourrunner and the hood off of the older toyota pickup with the schoop on it , the truck also has a tube baja style bumper with lights on it.

Saw it. Looks nice, but not really what I'd of put on my truck, just too bulky.
