Front DriveShaft Issue

Here's the run down:
1988 Toyota 4Runner / daily driver on 37 MTR's
V6 AUTOMATIC (NO DUAL CASES)
Recently SAS'ed with AP's 5" springs with a 85 Yota axle

I already measured from center flange to center flange and came up with
26" - 27" Does that said just about right?
I know I want to go with a CV, cause my pinion angle is crazy and I ran out of $$$ to get the knuckles and everything else rotated.

What year Toyota DS should I be looking out for?
Should there be CV's at both ends or just from the T-case?
I heard I could use a rear DS up front, is that possible?
About how much (ballpark estimate) would it cost me?
Lastly, if anyone locally would be willing to help me out on this subject, kinda like a hands on thing, I have a couple of DS's we could cut up and maybe use.

Thanks for any info ...
