do you regear for now, or the future!!?

simple question to most i guess, but being as im coming from a drag racing background, i haven't the foggiest.

Stock diffs, gears, and 31's. Truck is IFS and i plan to stay that way..( too stubborn for my own good.) so do i throw in a set of 4.56's, or go to 4.88's?? im sure if i had the gears, i'd throw some 33's on it and be better off. when i do so, i plan to lock both front and back...for good measure i suppose.

Any suggestions would be great!

Regear when you need to otherwise you are too high with your rpms on small tires and pointless.

Kinda like a brushguard on a miata.
