Do OME shocks make this much difference?

Hello everyone, I am in the market for new shocks for my 4Runner (128K miles) and OME seem to be the best choice, but they are expensive. I work at Lexus, so I can get OEM shocks cheap ($129) as opposed to $385 for OMEs. Are the OMEs that much better? I have read something about Tundra shocks on the 4Runner, would that be a good alternative? Any toyota product suggestions are welcome since I can get good deals on them.
