I use an A/C compressor.. if you don't have it you can get one.. bolt on.
Then a oil filter to cycle oil, pressurestat, airtank and a switch in cab to fill the tank.. Will automaticly turn off at over 100psi..

Then have a filter that only sends up to 100psi to the ARB locker and holds it.

I've designed an in cab deflation / inflation for a buddy of mine who's got the same truck.. it's outside the trucks, and a line from the fender flare to the middle of the tire.. works wonders. and inexpensive.

Another way is to have a mecanical shop fabricate a system to pull the air around the axle.. this has been done here for many trucks but costs and it wears..

third option is to fit the H1 system or the system from a Unimog.. but not many have done that.. gives you extra clearance as well..

I just have a hose (quick connect) and two valves per tire, one of has been drilled out.. so more air flow. I guess it takes me just 1-2 minutes to fill the tire to 20-25 psi from 2psi..

This setup I have sure beats the the other setup.. There are also many more powerful electric compressors, and a couple that are similar to the AC in volume, not pressure tho.

 

well, i had a mv50 for 2 years. bought it in early 2004 iirc.

it finally died on me this last week. i just saw this thread and didn't know anyone really used them aha.

here's what i did with it though.

Calculated it out to nearly 500 hours of use.
i used it for my airbeds and track tires.
it was run underwater accidentally once, as it was raining like crazy on the track lol.
it had i'd say 100 hours of operating in over 100deg heat.
had been hit by a car once lol
dropped about 20 times.
it was even overpowered once when a buddy used it on a 24v system (ouch)

so, all in all, it survived more than it should.
I just checked every checkers in town today, nothing.
so I emailed Superflow, which is located in Denver and asked about what would happen if i picked up 10 of them... and the pricing

In regards to the MF-1050, they are located at Pep Boys at a cost of $69.99

Those are the two best bet for the product.

There is no larger discount unless you purchase 100+ pieces at a time.

The SuperFlow MV-50 are going by the way side. Taking the place is the MasterFlow MF-1050 "TSUNAMI". We have these units in stock! If you think the MV-50 has been good Q-Industries as just came out with the new Q-89. This is the NEW dualpump compressor. Thay made there first showing at the SEMA show in Las Vegas last we and we should be getting them in in the next few weeks. i just went to pep boys and they have the tsunami for 59.99. looks pretty good, i think im going to buy one.

 

Thanks awsumfun for the MV50.....when it went on sale at Checkers for 24.99 I couldn't help myself....I bought 8 of them. Gave them away to family and friends. Kept 2 for myself. Even the reboxed MF-1050 at Pepboys for 59.99 is a smoking deal. I feel sorry for QuickAIR ZUK

 

After talking with q-industries, they said that the MF and the MV were aimed at different markets. that the MF-1050 is actually rated less than the MV-50.
Both boxes say 72lpm, but the MF-1050 lists on the pump 50lpm or something like that.

Pepboys never carried the MV, but they carry and have carried the more expensive (like Andy said, $59.99) Note: Pepboy's cost is $38...

Just adding some more info out there for everyone. Also, q-industries said not to expect the 89/Twin Pump until Spring *shrug*

Mine was $59 at pepboys. Anybody got an air tank hooked up yet? I'm confused as to the best way to set it up, and using it for air tools. I guess you'd have to keep it running while in use since it doesn't have an automatic setting. you think my 9 gallon tank is enough?
