Carburetor upgrade
I have a 22RE motor on a jacked up 87 pickup and a couple 44 mm Dellorto carbs... Do they make an adapter plate to put one of those carbs on that 22RE motor and if so would it be feasible and worth doing?

There are manifolds to run 40 and 45mm Weber DCOE's for 22R motors. Maybe the mount/bolt pattern is the same?

I'll check that out... This is a set of 'duals' like the ones we used to put on "souped up" Volkswagen bug motors back in the day... Never tried to use just one by itself.. it seems the linkage would be the only thing I'd have to 'MacGyver' but I've been wrong many times before... I have a Weber 36/32 that I was about to put on but then noticed the accelerator pump plate was missing... I found accelerator pump diaphragm and plate on a chainsaw carb that fits almost perfect. A little bit of Dremel and cap that opening... You reckon that would work? I'm just trying to get my truck running so I can go to work.

Yeah, I ran dual side draft Weber carbs for quite a while on that manifold setup. I recall it being weber, deltoid and munki carbs were the hotrod side drafts and I suspect they have a similar mount flange. They may not be interchangeable though. If your deltoros are the ones that are similar to a "Weber 45 DCOE" , then the manifold may work. Just research interchangeably between the 2. VW forums may have that info. Let us all know what you find.

I will... That manifold is beast. Can't afford it at the time but with 2:44s, id be crazy it's not so a bigger cam and crank in that motor and put 40s on it... It's already lifted with 35"s
