Do you think is a limited slip or a locker? Will it work in either diff?

The true trac is a Torsen style limited slip. It uses worm gears instead of clutch packs.

As fas as whether or not it'll fit in your truck, see if you can find a part number anywhere on it and google it...one way or another, it looks like you've got quite a bit of cleaning before you even think about using that sucker. It looks like its been sitting out for quite a while...

As long as its for an 8" diff it'll work. You might be able to get numbers off it to cross reference. However, if its the "rear" and you want to put it up front you'll have to "flip" it
