BJ spacers in! Waiting for AALs and Alignment

I installed my bj spacers thursday night and gained around 2.75" total lift in the front. My 3" Tuff Country aals should be here wednesday. In the mean time the underside is getting a fresh coat of black paint. Anyone have any tips on installing the AALs?

If you search, there is lots of info on doing your own alignment which can save your 50 bucks.

AALs went in Saturday.

And when I took it for an alignment today I found out that my passenger idler arm and steering stablizer is shot. Is $90 for a new idler arm about right??

Hopefully i can get some pics up tomorrow.

there are rebuild kits for the idler arms, unless its bent you can just rebuild it very easily for quite cheap!

looks good, did you end up buying a new idler arm, or did you just rebuild your existing one?

How did you get 2.75" of lift from the BJ spacers ?
I assume that you also cranked the t-bars then.

I think he's going with the Procomps because of cost. OME's are up there with Bilsteins on cost. I think if someones on a budget, Procomps freebie deals are ok.

Procomps are "procraps"
Really, they're a pretty damn stiffly valved shock.

I understand a budget, however you do truely get what you pay for.
Something to consider with something that's so important to ride quality.

Ive heard the same about rancho and most ppl prefer procomps to rancho but thats just opinion.

And anyways its a 4wheel drive its not gonna ride like ur dads caddy! Im not goin for quality im goin for functionality that i can afford. but if you have some $$$ u want to donate to me for more expensive shocks im all for it!

Actually it depends on which Rancho's.
The 5000's are poop, however the 9000's are great, much better than the Procomps.
I've run them all so I can compare first hand.
There is a ton of difference in the ride quality between Procomps and the 9000's or the Procomp's and the OME's (top of the line shock BTW).

Being a 4wd doesn't make the vehicle so that it doesn't or can't ride well.
Why should it ?

I have procomps on the rear of my truck and had rancho 5000 before. I have to say i think the procomps are better. The ranchos leaked in 5k miles and the procomps are going on 7k and still look new.

2.75 in lift from a bj spacer is insane!! I put mine on with my already relaxed Tbars and gained about 2 it seemed. I relaxed the bars even more and have been told by tons of people that i almost have stock straight axle flex. Im tempted to lower the back down a bit more and just bumpstop it so i stop pulling the bed sides apart. Hows the ride set up like that? i hated my bars turned up. To give you an idea of how relaxed my bars are i have 1/2inch of threads showing if that.

Truck looks really nice tho.
