Axel swap

I am looking at swapping out an axle from a TRD into my 93 yota. Has anyone done this and how did it turn out? Or am I just wasting my time? I have looked into just installing a rear locker but I would like to have an electric..... Any help would be great. I am slowly building my baby, just put in a brand new 3.0 Doug Thorley headers, Jardine exhaust, centerforce 2 clutch, K&N. Now time to work on the drive train.

You dont need the entire axle to get the E-Locker. All you need is the 3rd member with the wiring and ECU for the locker. The gears may be different, but you can get it regeared to the desired gear. Do you have a pick-up or 4Runner? If you have a 4Runner it will be a pain to do an entire axle swap since the 4Runners have a coil-spring rear suspension. truck wont be as hard since you alread have leaves.

do a search for E-locker or retrofitting elocker. just use different combinations of elocker and other words in the search bar and you will get TONS of information.

that axle is ~2" wider than your current axle just so you know. Putting the e-locker into your housing is not that hard.
