Aussie Locker
I've been looking at the new Aussie Locker that just came out. The reviews on PBB seem to be good. I talked to Bill at Aussie Locker and he says he believes the locker for the newer Toyota rearend will be out in late November. Just wandering if anyone else has heard anything else about. All I've heard are good things about it, and I'm almost sure this is the locker I'm gonna go with.

I ordered mine last week for my '86 4Runner. I've read good things too and hope to be pleased with the results.
I like the fact that Bill signs on to boards to answer questions directly.

Warren when you get it put in let me know how you like it and what you think. I just wanna know a little more about it from an outside source. Thanks for any info. And just a side note; Bill is a great guy to talk to he was very helpful and quick to answer my e-mails. I was very impressed.

Just found this thread by searching. Cool! I think I am going to get one of these too. Sounds like a great price, and a good company to deal with. I like that.
I confirm the November/December release date...that is the same thing they told me. In fact, they emailed me back within a couple hours.

WOW!
That's cool. This is the first I've heard of that. It sounds like it would be a good inexpensive alternative. I have had my heart set on doing an e-locker, but after seeing this I may change my mind. Especially since it looks like I could install it myself.
Thanks for posting that Jonathan.
Guess what I may ask for for Christmas?

Tight turns and switch-backs were another setting where the vehicle owner was extremely happy with how the locker performed. It unlocked when needed for turning, but always gave the locked traction when needed for tacking the obstacles. Again, I have to re-state that throughout the operation of the locker, only someone looking to hear the sound of the locker's teeth ratcheting would be able to hear a sound from this locker - it is truly that quiet!
$200 sure is tempting.
Bill is one of the sales guys at aussie locker.
