ARB SNorkle

No problem. The install is pretty easy, thanks largely to the great instructions and template from ARB. The most stressful part was cutting that big hole through the fender, otherwise it was a walk in the park.
Watch it though... it changes how others look at your rig. You will get stopped in parking lots and asked at stoplights what it does. 99% of folks seem to get it, others comment "if you wanted a submarine, you should have gotten a submarine" or words that that effect...

Back when I drowned my truck, I looked into getting a snorkel, but that thing is just way too big. There has got to be a way of simplifying it, and making it smaller. Or maybe a way of making it a bolt on thing, that you attach when going wheeling, and then remove when your not wheeling. and in its place is like a patch of some kind.
I would be afraid of parking it somewhere and someone pouring their starbucks coffee down the pipe, just to see what would happen.
On a side note, I would really like to see pics of sschafer on something other then rocks in Az.

I fitted one from a Taco to my Runner shortly after a hydrlocked it. Fit like a glove and was very simple with only 3 main parts. The snorkle and the winch both paid for themselfs on the first trail run.
I have the deckplate mod and put it on wen I go offroad.
The glove box idea is cool but it has a very annoying sucking sound

Anyway, it sounded pretty cool. My roommate drew up the plans and everything, but we never had the tools to get it done.

that's so funny!Around here it's like everyone ticked all the boxes on the "optional accessories" form... even the 4wd shopping trolleys have them.
