Apples and Oranges or.....?

OK, sold my Anthracite truck to a friend...still the same as my signature except he added fiberglass fenders. (some peoples kids) Went camping, found log and...after a few cold ones, this happened.

Notice the rear wheel still in the air and the front suspension looks as though it hasn't given an inch up....

So then my buddy does it in his 2009 4runner with an OME lift...not sure if theres much more to his lift, but his does this:

rears flat on the ground, drivers front sucked into the fender a bit....

is this just 1997 vs 2009 or something not right on the 3rd gen?

Thoughts? Theory's?

3" adjustable coilovers with OME inside 'em and a 2" top-hat.

Are those torsion arms cranked way up? Could make the front suspension much stiffer with less give.

3rd gen- springs, not the torsion bars.
