That is the point of getting a kit. Somone does all the work for you and you just lay out the dummy templates and weld/bolt on. Perhaps the only detractor to such a kit is its price.
Hey, you get what you pay for I guess

HAHAHA! You are simply wrong. Yes, *IF* done incorrectly, it won't function well, but as said, the kit is well designed and done so for a reason.

You might wanna sit down with all of the comp gus who are running coils and tell them to run leafs...

no coils are AWESOME but i think off road they do not do THAT much better (compared to how much more they cost), they are 100X better on road though

How much does a completely adjustable, rate variable leaf spring cost?

Oh, wait.

What would y'all consider reasonable. I have never seen a price mentioned.

Well, Calmini has an almost completely bolt on coilover SAS kit for the xterra for $1800 sans axle and coilovers.

So they can pimp an essentially $2800 kit.

The site says there is one in the works for newer rigs too. As you can see, it is more weld on then bolt on, but should figure out the geometry.

ok so what about the stuff? would you need the fiberglass fenders that you would get with the long travel IFS kit? none of the pics show the stuffing side of the axle. thought that was kinda odd

As long as it's a 55" or 58" front axle, it really shouldn't need fiberglass fenders... If anything, a little firewall pounding...

A linked system goes forward on compression, so firewall trimming is not an issue.

I too noticed there were non of the stuffed side. Sort of odd.

I bet you can get away without fiberglass. Looks like things are pretty tight with a stock width 55" axle, probably a Front Range or a 44 would make it a little better.
