82hilux to a 85 runnah

Well this year sucked for me for offroading I sold my 82 old truck in march.

I really miss it

but I am back this is my next victim below.

1985 Toyota 4 runner
170,000 miles
4" rough country lift
1" Roger Brown body-lift

As it is currently picked it up for $800 and it runs.

Not alot of money to do anything but when I get the tax return it will start.

Ummm obviously the first mod will to get a new spring pack for the rear and rid it of the huge lift blocks and trailer leaf or "stilts of death" some call it.

Anyways fun fun have my work cut out on it.

Wish me luck....

nice, it looks like you put your front springs on backwards on your 82? i.e. left in the place of the right one?

The truck was parked on a sloped hill.
They were 5" super lift springs I don't think they had a left or right set because the part numbers were the same.
You can weld a taller spring pad to the axle on the drivers side to make it a little more level.

Anyways,

As far as the first mods on the runner. I ordered a set of replacement mirrors to get rid of the trucker ones.
