ZUK installs them and has had luck with setting them up. You will probably want to have the them cryo'd.

The deal is as the ratio goes up you the actual teeth of the gears become smaller and the amount of teeth actually incontact with each other is reduced. Theirs just not any room for error.

With a 350, what the hell size tire are you planning to run that will require 5.71?

don't do it.

If you got a small block you don't need to get that out of control with the gearing

I have them and love them, they are a little too deep with only a 33" tire, but when I upgrade to 35" tires, it will be just right. I have had no problems with them and have about 5000 miles right now, but I had them set up by a guy who makes a living setting up Toyota 3rd members.

I Have them also in my 4runner, V6 auto on 36x12.5 and I love them, the 3.slow has some good power with them and I can actually maintain highway speeds with them. No complaints here on road or on the trail

It all depends on your drivin style.

If you like to hammer down from time to time, it's prob not a great choice.
Maybe with your narrow tire, just maybe.

dual t-cases i bet you'd appreciate more.

x2 - if you want to go REALLY slow, there simply is no better option... of course, then you don't need the 350 ...

with a 350 and 38's and 5.71's your highway RPMs will be through the roof!!! if you want to crawl do duals or a 4.7 kit, bit you will NEED 23 spline for a 350 and a toy case.

marginally weak 5.71's and a 350= broke !!!

IMO set up the gears for high range drivability then get t case reduction for your crawl you desire...

X2 on the duals or 4.7 marlin, no sense in going that high of a gear only to brake them. I dare someone to break the marlin 4.7 gears.

Dude your gonna want maybe max 4.56 gears with a 350. Your better off runing 4.10's with a 350 honestly.

4.10 ring gear is just as much of a problem as the pinion gear on 5.71 (although without the setup sensitivity)

If you want max gearset strength, 4.56 or 4.88 is where it's at.
