4th gen ARB locker update

If you guys are interested in a front locker, please email the following person:

jjackson@arbusa.com
Jim Jackson
President
ARB-USA
20 South Spokane St
Seattle, WA 98134
Tel: 206 264-1669
Fax: 206 264-1670

They're starting to take requests and will throw every name that is interested in this product onto their notify list so please email them if you can. This will help expedite the production line.

Good news since this front locker applies to these vehicles:
2003+ Toyota 4runner
2003+ Lexus GX
2005+ Toyota Tacoma
2003+ Toyota Landcruiser Prado / 120 series

Thanks, Lance! I sent him an email.

Is there any reason to buy a rear locker prior to a front locker?

Thx Lance. Send an email. I would like to get both axles done at the same time and have been holding out on the rear till the front is out. Seems like evrything else we need to keep asking ARB to get stuff out.

This request is something that is more reasonable compared to the bumper actually. Since it covers several different platforms (but within that there are 2 diff offset so that's the problem right now), it'll be more realistic that we'll see something by the end of the year. I've been told October as their sweet timeframe so let's push for it!

The real problem here is a lack of serious competition. If somebody else were making fully selectable lockers and mass produced bumpers for the Toyotas, I would bet ARB would have had something out by now. They can afford to take their time as no other company is getting into the picture.

But lets keep pushing as I like ARB's products I just dont like their timeframes and speed.

with the release of the tacoma along w/ the demand for the prado, the locker will be out soon. just not soon enough for the rest of us

when the 3rd gen came out I believe arb's product took almost 3 yrs so we're right about on par w/ how long they take... sux huh? atleast the odds of me breaking my front axles are limited hehe

Just read that ARB made the front locker part # public and it is 6 weeks away from sale! That is in Australia but it shouldn't be much more a wait, whoo-hoo!

edit: oh well, current info is more like Christmas release...

Subject: ARB Front Air Locker for 2003 (4th Generation) 4Runner

Hi Jim,

Is there any word out when a front locker will be available for the 2003 (4th Generation) 4Runner. I would be interested in purchasing one if they were available.

same price as rear....
anywhere in the 700 ish? each btw... it used to be something like 600 but prices has gone up as of April 05.

installation will vary depending on what you need done (i.e. just install? or partial/full). can get as high as 700 just for one side. expect to pay an arm and a leg btw. get it done incorrectly and u have one fubar'd gears so finding a quality installer is key.

also, regear at the sametime to save $$ on the installation. get front/rear done at the sametime too! (btw that'll put u well into the 2+k mark! doh)
