4runner lift help
Hey my name is Jack and I am new to the forums...I have been browsing here for a while, and there are a number of very knowledgable people here and I have come to you with a few questions regarding my 4runner.
I have a stock 2004 sport edition 4runner...and since I moved to Boulder, Co this year, I have been doing a lot of off-roading. Coming from a 2WD truck I have been very very pleased with the stock off-road performance of my 4runner...and as I continue to explore new trails, I think it is time for a offroad specific setup. Mind you, I am very new to the technical aspect of outfitting trucks with off-road gear. So here are some of the things I have been thinking about. First off, I want to grab some new tires/rims (I don't know what would be the biggest size that could fit my truck stock) and I would love to throw a 2.5"-4" lift kit on. I am doing a lot of highway driving (up to the mountains to go skiing, biking etc.) so I still want my 4runner to be managable on the roads; however, as I explore new places such as carnage canyon and lefthand canyon (I am sure some of you are familiar), it has become pretty clear that I need some more off-road specific performace. So any info you guys can give me would be very helpful in terms of reccomendations on setups etc. Thanks!
