4runner automatic shift mod

Is there any way to modify the way the Automatic shifts in a 3rd gen 4runner? I would like to be able to select 2nd gear and have it start in second gear rather than always going to first then second. I feel like this would make crawling around easier cause I could pop it into first when I want more torque.

I have a 98 4runner that i plan on doing SAS, dual cases, 35's or 37's, already has rear locker and will put an arb up front. Thanks!

Long as you dont mind burning up the clutches and smoking your transmission. 1st gear is there for a reason. Starting in second would be , well...just a dumb idea. Change the axle gear ratios.

This looks like a perfect set up. Wouldnt worry about the tranny with dual cases, this way in low range on an easy part of the trail I can start in 2nd or 3rd then go down to 1st when I hit a pile of rocks. Rather than the constant starting in first which is too low most the time or having to stop and change transfer case gears all the time. Awesome.
