2wd '89 Pickup - More height

so of course there all the bad ass long travel kits out there....but for the guy on a budget, how do you think this will work?
i have 3" spindles on there right now, stock fenders and clearing 30x10.50's. i was thinking about adding a set of SAW torsion bars and new upper control arms.
would this be an alright setup ontop of the 3" spindles? or am i going to end up requiring a new lower subframe and lower control arms as well?

thanks for the input....

If your on a budget and your just trying to clear bigger tires, why not just add a body lift?

What is your goal here? Are you going to just have the cool looks of a 4wd or are you trying to do a budget long travel?

Definitely do that, the saw torsions will help your ride qaulity as well. You should gain about 3 inches of lift. You will be fine with stock lowers.

i was thinking about a body lift as well, but i would rather stay away from those.
i'm pretty much trying to get more travel on a budget and hoping to clear 33's

On my truck its a Fabtech upper arm, bilstein shocks, and saw torsions cranked almost to the max. In the pic I'm running 33x10.50 tires
