Question Underhood light?

Does Toyota not put lights under the hoods of their vehicles? I was looking under mine the other night and couldn't find one anywhere - Ford has their mounted on the hood and GM has a clip on moveable light on a cable mounted to the firewall. None for Toyota???

They don't need them......other than changing the fluids and checking the belts, there is no reason to spend enough time under there away from a home light source or flash light to justify it.

#1 sign that you have purchased a dependable vehicle!

Ford and GM probably have creepers mounted under the hood too.

LOL! Guess that's the truth. When I was under there the other night, it was to add washer fluid.

Thanks, y'all!

I carry one of the coleman magnetic lights and just stick it to the underside of the hood when i need it.

Tundras don't break so why would you need a light to see what isn't broken? Looks like some have beat me to this joke...
All kidding aside I would kike to see one there as well. Sounds like an aftermarket opportunity to me. Something that would plug into an existing harness connection would be professional and nice.
I was surprised to see that Toyota did not find it necessary to provide a hood insulator to protect the finish from a hot summer time engine.
