tundra wheel/tire question

Looking at selling my 89 4runner and stepping up to a Tundra. The only one I've been able to look at is a 2012 and the dealership is closed so I can't ask anyone. Ok the one I looked at has 275/65/r18s on it. I have on my runner a set of 285/75/r16s and new black wheels. Can I swap wheels and tires with an older (lets say 2005-2007) Tundra? I can't afford a new one so used is the direction I'm headed.

I guess the best way to ask is "will my 1989 wheels and tires fit a newer Tundra?". Sorry if this has been covered, I didn't see a sticky and my phone has limited ability online it seems.

Thanks.

I have a 2005 Tundra sr5 TRD.
