Tundra V8 Engine Ping

I've got an engine ping in my V8 Tundra and my dealer has not figured it out. It occurs when I am loaded and just before it shifts down, the engine pings. I've run high octane gas, even octane booster. Installed Iridium plugs, dealer replaced air intake sensor. Anyone have any ideas? Is it possible that the timing belt is stretched. The dealer tells me it is a cog type belt.

Has your dealer checked to see if you have a cracked exhaust manifold ? I had ticking under load also and they found both cracked.

DJJ is on the right idea...sometimes with the new OBD II technology you can hook the computer and find out certain scadas with when it pings, if it's an engine knock (never really done it, but I hear it can be done).

If they are cracked and it is out of warranty, throw some headers on that bad boy!
