Hi
I have an 02 Tundra that I use that gets heavy brake use. The rotors warp badly, and do not stay true very long after being turned. I am looking at getting aftermarket slotted rotors. Does anyone have experience to make a recomendation? I need something that will dissipate heat, and handle high heat without warping. I know that everyone will say to adjust my driving, but it is how the truck is used sometimes.

Did you post on tundrasolutions.com, I know Toyota had some sort of notice about Tundra brakes. Don't know if it applied to 2002 though.

 

Im not sure what solutions people have for this problem but I know alot of people do. HAve you also tried keeping your rear brakes adjusted up so that your front brakes arnt doing as much work?

 

I have had great luck so far with the ATE eliptical grooved rotors on these trucks. Cured the problems you speak of.

Was there a tsb for the brakes for '02 models? I thought it was only for '00 and '01, but I could be wrong.
