TRD Supercharger??

Why won't the supercharger work on a 96? I am new to the Toyota world so forgive me if this has all been answered before. I just bought a 96 T100 with a 3.4L so this is why I am curious.

I've heard somewhere that the TRD superchargers made now are for 2nd generation 3.4. There are a few changes from the early models. The old superchargers were white.

The major reason TRD does not include 1996 T100 is due the ECU (computer). I am running the first generation (grey) TRD supercharger on my 1996 T100. It runs fine with the stock computer. I even bought an ECU from a 1997 and nocticed it runs better. Only thing is I get a check engine light due to a missing sensor. It doesn't bother me as long as I know it runs better. You can get it to work. I recommend you get the lower boost pulley from TRD to make sure you dont damage your engine in the long run. If you have the money next thing would be to get the fuel modifications from URD.

Finally it is recommended to do a valve body upgrade for auto-trannies. (~$600-800)

Heres a great thread started by a guy who put a supercharger on a 96 T100. All it takes is time and money (like everything else in life).
