Toyota Platinum Warranty

Has anyone purchased the Toyota Platinum Warranty for their Sequoia? I got a quote for one with a $0 deductible for $925. Just curious whether this was inline with what others had paid? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

How many years/miles does that extend the warranty to? $0 deductible is sweet.

When I bought my '00 in '04 I purchased the extended warranty, $50 deductable, 5 year/ 100,000 warranty.
So my '00 is covered until the odo hits 153,000.
Dang thing paid for itself when my manifolds cracked last year...

From what I understand, the Platinum Toyota Warranty is very similar to the Factory Warranty. If you search "Extended Warranty" on Toyota's site, it provides a full list of included/excluded items. My quote was for the 7/100K mile Platinum Warranty.

Check the period real good because the warrenty I bought for my Tacoma covers it for 7 years and 100k starting from January 1st of the year it was bought not from when I bought it like I thought.

I paid $795 for the warranty on my 02 Runner, it had 54k when I bought it. It was a certified used, so I automatically got the 100k/7 year powertrain, adding the platinum basically made it a bumper to bumper until 100k. No matter how many miles you had when you bought the car, Toyota warrantys only cover you to 100k, not an additional 100k. The ones that run over 100k are 3rd party. I find it strange that they haven't extended the new warranty to 100k, why offer it on a used vehicle and not a brand new one?

We got one on our 07 4Runner and I believe it includes more than just power train. I really do not know, as it is the wife's ride so she handled it.

When it is up for tires in a couple years, they will get mysteriously larger and a lift will just appear on it.

you can only get the "platinum warranty" with new vehicles. it's a bumper-bumper for 7/100k. all toyota certified come with a 7/100k powertrain from date of first use.

platinum warranty

i purchased a platinum warranty from a dealer in greenfield, mass.- i learned of it on tundrasolutions.com-- my tundra has @ 80k and hasn't hicupped once but armed with this warranty and any tsb's relevant to my truck i have had thousands worth of work and upgrades done-- i did a 5year-75k warranty for @$680. w/ no deductable- i emailed the guy-his name is troy- he called me and it was done- piece o' cake- i recommend it - has to be purchased before 3-36 original warranty expires- good luck

That's not true. The Platinum can be added at any time during the initial 3/36,000 bumper to bumper time frame. It can also be purchased with a cerified used Toyota. I bought my 00 Runner w/ 15k and they offered me the platinum, which I declined. They offered it to me again w/ my 02 w/ 54k miles and I bought it.

As long as you got something in writing stating that it is different than the Certified deal.
We sold the Platinum Warranty at the dealership I used to work for, we also had something similar for non-Certified used Toyota's.

I think I still have the option of adding one to my Tacoma now that I'm almost out of my factory warranty (6k away).
I may end up doing it but I've also thought about trading it in for a 2010 Tacoma or FJ...we'll see.

thanks a lot. they have 2010 tacomas now? whoa, might have to check those out. does the platinum cover more than the powertrain that comes with the certified vehicle purchase?
