T100 shift indicator broken
I have a 93 t100 with and auto trans. Today I got in the truck after filling it up with gas, it started fine but when i moved the shifter towards drive the indicator stayed in park. the truck drove fine but it said it was in park the whole time, it is still doing this. I first checked all the fuses and non of them werwe blown. I decided to pull apart the dash and see what i could find. I couldn't find any type of wiring on the gearshifter shapft other than the o/d wiring. I pulled the speedo and tach assembly out and discovered it's all electronic, no cables just wires and lots of them. Bewildered I put it all back together. Does anyone know where the indicator wiring comes from? I'm guessing it's coming from the transmission.

Today I drove the truck to work. The shift indicator still said it was in park. When i went to leave work i tried starting the truck and the engine wouldn't turn. Does anyone know where the neutral park switch is?

I thought the shift indicator was manually linked to the shifter rod on the steering column. I would pop the hood and pull up on the shifter linkage thats located against the firewall to make sure the tranny is fully in park, otherwise it wont start. The shift linkage is adjustable and needs to be adjusted over time or if you installed anykind of lift. Good luck!

Well I figured it out today. There is a park neutral saftey switch on the right side of the trans i uplugged it and hotwired it until the dealer get it in. But the switch controls the gear indicators I tested the switch with a test light and it work a bunch of times then it wouldn't work.
