T100 Clutch Bracket

T100 Clutch Bracket
Looking for info on where to either buy the heavier clutch bracket or info on how to weld it. Any ifo and experience with this fix is greatly appreciated. It is a 97 T100 X-cab 4X4 and is not shifting well at all.
My local toy dealers are sharks I can just imagine what they want for this bracket.
Also looking for a cat-back stock exhaust in good condition for this truck.
Thanks in advance!

The bracket is a dealer item and is improved over the original. IIRC I paid about $65, and it's given no hint of giving out after twice as long in the truck. Welding it can be done, but it's fairly thin, so whoever does it should be careful about blowing holes through it or fatiguing it so that the repair gives way in short order. I have a friend whose uncle repaired his. Left it in the vehicle, stitched it up, done.

Also, if your clutch pedal bracket is a problem, you may want to check the firewall there as well. That has been none to crack on some people. Adam can back me up on that though as he has a manual. I have an auto but I thought I remember the firewall issue being associated with this from a discussion on 4x4wire.

Yup, it's entirely possible to crack the firewall. Rough, off the top, unscientific estimate is about half the owners who have had the bracket break also cracked the firewall.
